After the gargantuan success of New Moon, Twilight Saga star Taylor Lautner will soon be taking to the stage of Saturday Night Live as the host on the December 12, 2009 episode, with musical guest Bon Jovi. As the Twilight and New Moon fanbase anxiously awaits Taylor Lautner to host SNL, NBC sent the very first Taylor Lautner SNL promo clip to TheDeadbolt for Twilight Saga fans to sink their Lautner teeth into.

Following on the heels of Taylor Swift and the Twilight Firelight skit, Taylor Lautner stands with SNL regular Kristen Wiig to give a Twilight oriented SNL preview, as Lautner listens to Wiig who reveals that she once thought she was a werewolf like those in Twilight and New Moon in which Taylor Lautner heads up as Jacob Black.

Taylor Lautner is in NYC to host Saturday Night Live

New Moon star Taylor Lautner is in New York City this week to rehearse for his upcoming Dec. 12 appearance on Saturday Night Live.

Lautner, 17, was photographed at JFK Airport on Dec. 7, where he had just arrrived from Los Angeles.

Taylor, who skyrocketed to international fame following his star-making turn as Jacob Black in New Moon, will appear on SNL with musical guest Bon Jovi.

Thanks to his stunning popularity from the Twilight saga, Lautner was just cast as teen superhero Max Steel in an upcoming Paramount Pictures film. In Max Steel, Taylor will play a 19-year-old extreme sports junkie who gets recruited by a secret agency after he gains superhuman powers following a bizarre accident

Movie execs are clearly wasting no time capitalizing on Lautner's mega-popularity and his athletic good looks.

Taylor, who ate and worked out nonstop to gain 30 pounds of muscle for his role in New Moon, will have to continue his fitness regimen for both Max Steel and the upcoming Twilight sequels.

Lautner has revealed that he must gain an additional 10 pounds of muscle to play Jacob in Breaking Dawn, the fourth installment in the Twilight saga.

"Jacob continually grows throughout the series, so I’m still going to have to put on a little bit more weight," says Taylor. [Editor's note: In the book, Jacob morphs from a baby-faced 6'2" teen to a monstrous 6'7" werewolf.]

So how much more weight does Lautner need to gain? "I’ll shoot for another 10 [lbs]," he says. "We’ll see what I can do, but I’ll be working hard."

While the idea of having to gain weight for a lucrative job may sound fun, for Lautner, gaining--and retaining--the extra weight has been hard.

"The actual getting into the gym and working out process was easier, but the eating was harder," Taylor recounts. "I had to eat every two hours. At one point, my trainer said, 'Put anything in your mouth. Go to McDonald’s, get the biggest shake possible. I just need to get calories in you.' Because my body fat at the time was only, like, 7.5%."

Meanwhile, New Moon has been tearing up the box office. So far, the vampire romance has grossed almost $500 million worldwide since its Nov. 20 release.

Its sequel, Eclipse, has already been filmed and will be released in June 2010.

New Moon, which co-stars Robert Pattinson, Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed and Kristen Stewart, is in theaters now.

Taylor Lautner is one dedicated boyfriend. He snuck backstage to support girlfriend Taylor Swift at the KIIS FM's Jingle Ball this past weekend. Reports Hollyscoop: "Lautner snuck into KIIS FM's Jingle Ball on Saturday to watch his girlfriend perform and nearly went unnoticed the entire time! "He came with his bodyguard and was backstage the whole time," an eyewitness tells Hollyscoop exclusively. "

Reports MTV: The "New Moon" star arrived at the theater alone and made his way to Swift's dressing room. Inside, the two were reportedly behaving like a couple, with Lautner seen spending most of his time with Swift, although he also talked to members of her entourage as well as Swift's mom. "Taylor's mom was constantly smiling around him," a source told E!. Instead of watching the show from the crowd, as he did at her show in Chicago recently, he watched her from the side of the stage. Swift is set to play the Jingle Ball show this weekend in New York City, while Lautner will also be in town hosting "Saturday Night Live." "Just say the name Taylor in this house and see who says 'hi,' " Ryan Seacrest told "ET" at the show on Saturday, referencing the sighting. "There could be a couple of voices. You follow me? Just see how many people you hear when you say 'Taylor' tonight. I think you should keep saying [it] and see if another Taylor responds." E! also has footage of Lautner walking around backstage.

Twilight and New Moon star Kristen Stewart talks 'buff' co-star Taylor Lautner, love for the fans

The cast of The Twilight Saga: New Moon amazed fans and critics alike with their brilliant performances. Kristen Stewart reveals that she loves the fact that the fans love the cast, and states that she is glad 'buff' co-star Taylor Lautner reprised his role of Jacob Black.

When asked about the fans, Stewart explains: "No, I love the fans. I've never said anything negative." She continues: "It's just not normal to be in a situation where there are thousands of screaming girls and you're their fodder." She adds: "I thought they were going to hate me, but they love it. I love girls who are in love with me."

She says of Taylor Lautner: "Taylor still playing Jacob was the coolest thing. It was under deliberation so I'm glad he did it. And he looked so buff."

Taylor; wet and wild for Rolling Stone

Rolling Stone magazine has a sexy, soaked and sand-covered response to Robert Pattinson's Vanity Fair spread -- a day in the surf with the insanely built Taylor Lautner.

Famed photographer Mark Seliger shot the 17-year-old, who plays a beefed-up Jacob Black in "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," in Malibu.

Howling hotness ensues, and in the magazine's cover story Lautner touches on his potential love interest (a fellow Taylor).

“Aside from being beautiful, she’s extremely funny, charismatic and fun to be around,” Lautner said of country crooner Taylor Swift.

So are they dating? Sly wolf Lautner simply responded, "Possibly."

The two costar in Garry Marshall's forthcoming ensemble pic "Valentine's Day" and have been seen on several dates since meeting on set.

Taylor Lautner and James Franco: Who will be a better 'SNL' host?

When SNL announced yesterday that James Franco and Taylor Lautner would be hosting in December, I had one thought: Man, I would love to see these two wrestle. Just kidding: I thought man, James Franco is going to obliterate poor Taylor Lautner and his biceps of teenwolf lust.

In Lautner’s defense, he’ll be one of the youngest hosts the show has ever had — a few months shy of his 18th birthday puts him among the 10 youngest. I’m worried that we might have a January Jones redux on our hands, though: Lautner is famous for one and only one thing, and given how much the show has struggled this season to give hosts a variety of material, that’s going to make writing for him pretty tough. Might he be charismatic and nimble enough to carry it anyway? Eh…live TV has slayed far mightier foes.

Which brings us to Franco. Franco hosted last year, and he did a pretty solid job — plus he’s a naturally funny guy who has been in many comedies. He’s also shown himself to be a really good sport about making fun of himself, which is often what the best SNL sketches come from.

I think Franco has this locked down, PopWatchers. Maybe the question is will Lautner be a disaster, or can he hold his own?

Taylor Lautner And Taylor Swift 'Had To Make Out' In 'Valentine's Day'

These days, the eyes of Hollywood are upon the "New Moon" stars as they move out of their comfort zones and select non-"Saga" film projects. And few are more intriguing than Taylor Lautner's upcoming movie "Valentine's Day," which has the young heartthrob appearing opposite rumored girlfriend Taylor Swift in a subplot that revolves around them mostly, well, swapping spit.

"They just had to make out," grinned one of their co-stars, Emma Roberts, as she recently remembered a day watching the two young superstars filming the movie. "That's all I saw."

Hoping to be next year's "He's Just Not That Into You," the star-studded romantic flick features everyone from Anne Hathaway to Ashton Kutcher, Jennifer Garner to Jamie Foxx, Topher Grace to Julia Roberts to "The Hangover" star Bradley Cooper — heck, it even has both Jessicas, Biel and Alba. But while the February 12 film's recently released trailer displays all those actors — and even gives a line to Hector Elizondo — there's no mention of anyone named Taylor.

"I'm a big 'Twilight' fan; I read all the books in a matter of two weeks ... Bella and Jacob are my faves," insisted "Hotel for Dogs" star Roberts, who attended the "New Moon" premiere. "I am Team Jacob, solidly."

So, when the 18-year-old actress had the chance to film "Valentine's Day," she made sure she was on set when Lautner filmed his scenes, even though she wasn't needed. "We didn't have scenes together, but I met him on set," she recalled. "He's a really good guy.

"He has scenes with Taylor Swift," she said of Lautner's subplot, which fueled huge tabloid interest earlier this year alongside rumors that Taylor/Taylor were more than just an on-camera item.

"When you say it like that, come on!" Roberts laughed, insisting that there was more to their story line than simply making out. "Yeah, it was fun. They were both really cool. I hung out with them a little bit.

"Everyone in the world is in it," she said of the movie. "Jennifer Garner, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel ... it involves all these mini-relationships."
